0 Good Music for Now...

Wassup F.A.D.E.D. Nation? First, I would like to apologize for the amount of inactivity of here...the new website has been worked on and we are just about ready to open it up. So there will be little activity going on until we do that.

2nd, I was able to grab two nice albums before their original release date (don't tell nobody!). We got Wale with Attention Deficit and 50 Cent with Before I Self Destruct. I was able to listen to the whole 50 album yesterday and I must say...50 might be back with this one. It's not Get Rich or Die Trying, but its what we wanted from him. Give it a listen.

I just got to listen to the Wale this morning, and so far its pretty decent. Its not my job to review these albums, but you already know how lyrically nice Wale is. A very underrated rapper who could bring something positive to the game.

Just listen to them, they are both good albums to get you by until we post the latest mixtape/album...

0 This Could Be Epic...

“Just chillin’” with Dame Dash may have just spawned a rap supergroup project. On Wednesday, at Dash’s new facility (art gallery, TV studio, music studio and more), DD172, critically acclaimed underground lyricist Curren$y told MTV News that he, Jay Electronica and Mos Def have combined forces to start recording an entire album together. “That’s ridiculous!” Curren$y said. “Jay Electronica is from my city, he’s from New Orleans. I never met homie until I stepped foot in this building. He came here to meet Mos. And Mos, I had only known him for 24 hours prior to that. But genuine people could recognize [each other], it was like, ‘Let’s go.’ ” Curren$y said Mos came up with the name of “Center Edge Territory” for the trio. When asked exactly what the moniker means, Curren$y would only comment emphatically, “Everything! That’s everything! Here is a video from Curren$y called "Life Under The Scope". You might be able to catch this on the new collaboration album. K.I.F. Bp

0 Music Review: Wiz Khalifa | B.A.R.

Pittsburgh’s highly acclaimed hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa is back at it again with his new mixtape B.A.R, which are the acronyms for Burn After Rolling. The 22 year-old MC who was originally signed with major record label Warner Brother Records has since moved to independent record label Rostrum Records. This was obviously a good move for Khalifa since he and Rostrum Records have been releasing some of the hottest mixtape tracks of the year.

Khalifa’s 6th solo mixtape and his latest installment B.A.R make it his second mixtape this year. While I’ve listened to B.A.R back- to- back (twice) in the last couple of days since its release, I have determined that this is hands down the best mixtape Wiz Khalifa has released. If you think you would enjoy the tales of a fast-life living individual who enjoys his Mary Jane smoke then Burn After Rolling is for you. Even if that isn’t your cup a tea you should download it anyways because I assure you he will become your new favorite rapper.

*Must listen to while flying high or just landing

2 More Shots Fired Jay-Z's Way

Hmmm....y'all I dont really gotta lot to say about this one.  If you put the two rappers on a scale, Hov is definitely bigger than Beanie Sigel..regardless of the realistic weight differential.
Earlier this morning, Beans went on Hot 97 NY to premeire his diss to the one-time partner, labelmate and friend.  The reasoning for Sigel's record is from the night of the September 11 Tribute Concert in which Jay-Z performed in front of a sold out Madison Square Garden.  He accuses Jay-Z of calling the police on him during the premier concert of Blueprint 3 when he was spotted in the front row.  He also accuses Jay-Z of keeping him tied to the label when Sigel had an opportunity to go elsewhere.

According to Sigel, Jay offered him a financial incentive to remain on the struggling label’s roster. “I told you I ain’t want your money,” he said addressing Jay-Z directly.

“But you was in a position to let me get my own money, and you couldn’t do that,” Sigel claimed.

Whatever issues remain between the two artists, who have always appeared to be very close, Sigel has made it clear that they can be resolved.

The diss record was released hours after Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed at Yankee Stadium.  So who knows...it could possibly be a World Series beef.  Seeing as how Beans is from Philly and Hov is the man of NY, the Yankees and Phillies being in the World Series could've been the last straw for Sigel.

Those with a sense of humor understood the previous paragraph.

Neither Jay-Z of any of his representatives has yet to respond. Although Jay is known for giving artists the cold shoulder after a diss is thrown at him, this goes deeper than the other shots.  These are two guys who had a very strong friendship and they intended on doing bigger things in the future.  Unfortunately, things change.  This will probably be addressed, but not in a public light.

Of the lyrics, he said, “This ain’t a green light for everybody to start making 'diss Jay-Z' records. This is just me taking my brother out for five minutes.” Their feud is reported to have originated from their Roc-A-Fella business dealings, and Jay-Z's allegedly adequate marketing of Sigel’s album in 2007.

What y'all think about this?  Comment please...

0 Clipse f. Cam’ron | Popeyes --- HEAT!!

Right after Cam’ron emerged from his self-inflicted exile, around about the time he played us mad times in a row by not showing up for our interview appointments, someone who actually did get a microphone under him got him to admit that he’d thought about retiring. Thankfully, he did not follow through, a decision we’re sure had very little to do with ceding victory to 50 Cent after their dust-up. As far as we can tell, Cam is still very much the king of Harlem and if he wanted to be, probably New York City, but the fact that he’s somehow burrowed himself into the underground makes his appearance on “Popeyes” less the favor to message board heroes the Clipse, than a sensible alliance.

Story from TheFader

Two thumbs up from me...be sure to look out for the video coming soon.

Travis Barker is at it again with his rap collaborations.  This by far is probably one of my favorite ones from him though.  It doesn't matter what y'all say, TB is the best drummer out here and he's the only on out here making moves.  Get with it.

Shoutouts to RapRadar for the footage.

0 Upcoming Mixtapes from Jeezy and Wayne

I’ve been searching for some good music lately but it seems like I haven’t seen/heard anything the past two weeks. It seems like I’ve been bangin’ the same Curren$y mixtapes. And don’t tell me that Gucci dropped the Burrprint, or the Cold War series…because its been a Gucci overload online. I’ve basically had it with him. Now we can be on the lookout for some of our favorite artists coming up these next couple of weeks.

First we have Lil’ Wayne coming with a new mixtape that should be hot, No Ceilings. I haven’t heard any leaks from it and I’m not sure if there’s gonna be tracks that I’ve already heard before, but the anticipation for it makes is seem as so it will be a classic. We’ll see because I’m looking forward to some new Wayne. Both Weezy’s engineer and Mack Maine announced on their Twitter accounts that the mixtape will be officially dropping on October 31 for Halloween. Another reason why I’m looking forward to this is because according to the man himself, this tape will be “autotune-less”. That’s always good to hear.

Here's a new song from his mixtape, you can listen to it here ----->>>> I'll Holla -- Lil' Wayne

The next tape I’m anticipating is Young Jeezy and his Trap or Die 2. Not much more should be said about this one…we all know what happened when the first Trap or Die came out. There’s no arguing that when Jeezy puts out a mixtape, it always is a heater. Just listen to the track below in the video…Jeezy performed this the other day during the BET Awards festivities at a packed club in Atlanta.

That club had to be crazy!

Any who, get ready for some heat to drop these next couple of weeks.

Was good F.A.D.E.D fam, I hope yall staying fresh. This is the second installment in the Artist of the Week category. And if you want to hear GOOD music then welcome Big Sean literally. I say literally because he's sign to Kanye West label GOOD music. Big Sean is on the label with such artist as Common, Kid Cudi, Consequence, and of course Kanye.

Big Sean was born Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, he was born in California but moved to Detroit when he was 2 months. So being from Michigan my self I'll definitely say he's reppin the D great. Big Sean was signed to GOOD music in '07, and got, and in '08 signed to Island Def Jam.

If you say "here goes just another rapper from 'The D'"
STOP right there because the dude has BARS.

Big Sean has dropped mixtape after mixtape; "Finally Famous" in '07, "U Know Big Sean-Finally Famous Vol. 2" this year, and will be dropping his album in 2010 entitled "Finally Famous". I have heard his two mixtapes and I can't wait for his album in 2010.

Here is a music video by Big Sean called called "Getcha Some". Peep of the Burn Rubber Varsity Jacket, and hat. Yeah did I mention that he fux's with them. So look out for the local artist he doing big things. Also vote for this video so it can make it on BET 106& Park, support the Artist of the Week Big Sean he a real cool dude. REAL SPIT!

0 Oh Shit Ro Spit--Artist of the Week (Sept.29.09)

Roland Coit also known as Ro Spit is the first artist of the week in our new installment. If you haven't heard of the rapper/entrepreneur you've been missing out on a lot. Ro Spit was formerly known as Octane. Himself and he partner Illite dropped an album in 2005 entitled "The Forgotton...Chosen".

Since then he's been on his grind, and hard work pays off because the sky has been the limit for the M.C. Ro Spit has opened a well known business with his partner Rick Williams called Burn Rubber. Later this year the rapper/entrepreneur/DJ will be dropping his new mixtape. As of right now Ro Spit is looking for some help on his album cover. For more information on that you can go to http://www.burnrubberdetroit.com/ or http://www.rospit.com/.

The Burn Rubber family is what I hope F.A.D.E.D can possibly be one day. For more information on the "Artist of the Week" you should follow him on Twitter @OhShitRoSpit, the BR website http://www.burnrubberdetroit.com/ or the BR e-mail ro@burnrubberdetroit.com. Below is the M.C.'s music video "Leave Me Alone", which is also on the radio. It's on WJLB so when you hear it text 77979 and let them knoe that you want to hear "Leave Me Alone" by Octane in rotation...even if your not in Michigan.

Remain F.A.D.E.D, and I hope you enjoyed the first installment in the Artist of the Week!
