0 I'd pay $200 for these...

In celebration of Villa’s 20th anniversary of operation, they’ve collaborated with Jay-Z, Udi Avshalom from Training Camp NYC and Stash to create the commemorative R+ Americana Boot. These boots run from $200 and they will only be released in two colors…black and brown. These boots were tested on construction grounds for durability and they passed the test (who cares) so that shows how dependable they are.
Now $200 for what looks like basic boots is a little suspect to some people. But if you were to ask me, I do like the style of these boots. What attracts me the most is the R+ symbol on the tongue and the thick soles. Not a lot of people are fans of these boots, but generally everything Hov touches, blows up. I mean, I’d sport these JUST because of the fact that Jay-Z had a say-so in the design of the boots.
The R+ Americana Boots will be released on September 15, 2009 and there will only be 54 pairs available throughout the world (why?). Stay posted with these so that you can reserve your exclusive pair.

0 Inspiration Isn't Cheap...1st Headlining Show, Sept.19th

By no means am I the type of guy to listen to rock music, especially if it involves any kind of hardcore instruments and distortion through the microphone by screaming. I would rather go with the Fall Out Boy, Green Day style (bands that I respect, still don’t listen to them :P). But about 2 months ago, I was in the car with Anthony Kile who is the keyboardist and vocalist of a local band named Inspiration Isn’t Cheap. We got to talking about using music samples and how he uses the FL Studio with their music. As a former “beatmaker” (all jokes aside), I was definitely interested in this. He popped in some new tracks that the band had just finished up and the first track he played was the popular, Starting In The Cracks That We Fall Through. Now I’ve already heard of these dudes through school and other events that they performed at, but I’ve never actually sat down to listen to one of their songs completely.
After I heard their new song, I realized that this is a band that WILL be going places. Like I already told you I don’t do the rock thing, but as I’m analyzing their music, it’s was hard to catch me not bobbing my head. These guys have style and as much as I think that all rock music sounds the same, I think I could listen to these guys and recognize that they’re Inspiration Isn’t Cheap.
This arsenal of gifted musicians include Anthony Kile on keys and vocals, Matt Pacioni on vocals and guitar, Peter Schreve on guitar, Evan Broske on the drums and Andrew Krisniski on the bass. I’m not in the studio with these guys, so I don’t know how their chemistry is as they’re working on a song together. What I do know is that however they work in the studio, it will always result in something good and that’s why I previously said that they WILL be going somewhere.
Inspiration Isn’t Cheap aren’t your typical basement band that get no love. For over 2 ½ years, IIC have been in full throttle in getting recognized and creating a name for themselves (Anthony joined about a year or so ago). They’ve performed shows all over the metro area and they’ve captured many fans from all around the country. The band has already performed with the bigger bands who serve as influences to them, such as We Came As Romans, Miss May I, Attack Attack and I See Stars. And even as dead as MySpace is nowadays, their page just continues to get hits from people all around the web. This just goes to show that they remain persistent in getting signed and will not rest until it occurs. They already understand the reality of signing big time contract with a label, so they don’t depend on this as their future. They will go as far as they can take themselves and right now, they’re taking themselves to new levels as they get more experienced. So don’t look at this group as a bunch of teenagers who sing for fun and popularity.
These dudes are serious and I don’t see any reason why they won’t have any type of success later on down the road. They’ve already been successful in promoting themselves with t-shirts, barn shows, openings, etc.
In saying that, Inspiration Isn’t Cheap has come this far to earn their 1st headlining show on September 19, 2009. This show will be held at the Temple in Detroit, Michigan off of Gratiot. This will be one of the more anticipated shows from the band because it’s such a big gig…still, it’s nothing to these guys. So those interested in the Inspiration Isn’t Cheap headlining show, its $10.

0 Jordan VII 60+ Package...23 days 'til arrival!!

Sup F.A.D.E.D. ppl,
I just gotta little information that I wanna share with you guys real quick...

The latest pairs of shoes that I've been eyeballing lately are the white, blue and black Jordan VII's 60+. I peeped these out while I was roaming thru sneakernews.com a couple weeks ago and I kinda been stuck on them since.

These J's are supposed to represent the Orlando Magic in January of 1993 when Michael Jordan scored 64 points against them, which turned out to be one of the great performances of his career. In honor of this game, MJ has decided to release a package for this memory.
The other pair are meant to represent the Chicago Bulls...
I originally wasn't a fan of the charcoal, red and purple VII's, but they've grown on me...not gonna lie.

This package will be released on AUGUST 21st, 2009...probably will run you about $310

Be on the lookout for these!!

Signed out,
BP

0 Throwbacks of the Week--July.30.09

Welcome to our 2nd installment of the Throwbacks of the Week. This is a segment that reminisces on the styles, music and movies of the good ‘ol days. Today we have a classic video from Pac, an album from Outkast’s prime, a never forgotten film collabo with Kid and Play and a jacket that everybody once sported…

The throwback video that we would like to present you with is a all time favorite, I get around by 2Pac. It seems like whenever I hear this song, I just think about summer, girls and fun. It has always been one of those songs that just made you want to jump in the video and have fun with everybody in it, especially in this particular one here. Enjoy!

Who could forget about arguably one of the best albums that to ever come out of the city of Atlanta?
These ATLiens came clutch when they released their fourth album in 2000, and it happened to be in everybody’s CD player the same day it came out. With them pushing it to #2 on the top Billboard 200, that just shows the success of this compilation. With tracks that made history (Ms. Jackson, Bombs over Baghdad, So Fresh So Clean), it’d be hard to find somebody saying that they never bumped these songs.
Classic…I might have to pop it in after I’m done writing this.

“I'm from a small town called ‘Fresh Off a Cop's Ass’, and you're making me homesick.”
LOLOL, unforgettable line that was spoken by Pops off of the first House Party. This movie depicted the life of the suburban youth at your typical house party. The reason why I chose this movie is because this is a film that you can’t go wrong with. Everything in the movie is realistic (except for the whole “rapping his way outta jail” part) and it really reminds me of my last two years of high school. Sneaking out of the house to goto the big parties, trying to hop on some cuties that everybody else in the party wanted to get on and even leaving the party due to an ignorant individual who f***ed up the toilet.

As for the throwback fashion of the week, this one is a definite…STARTER JACKETS!!!
Man, I know everybody I kicked it with during the 90’s wasn’t about anything unless you had on the classic Starter jacket. It didn’t even have to be a specific team…as long as it was big and it had the label on it (which looked like a backwards Z and a star). I ran through my old clothes just to see if I had one, and I still have my Detroit Red Wings jacket. I might have to wash that up and bring it back out during wintertime, just because I still feel cool with it on…

Thanks for tuning in
AND
Til next time,
Stay F.A.D.E.D.
