0 F.A.D.E.D. Spotlight: WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy

Whats good cyberspace?

Instead of drowning you guys with new music videos and mixtapes like we've been doing all week, we decided to bring you something different tonite.

I recently ran across a team of activists who call themselves WeSC, which stands for WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy. I was looking at their collection of clothes and I was feeling what they were dropping on me. But their business has a whole different aspect to it than what people generally see.

They were a group of skateboarders and snowboarders who originally started up WeSC in January of 2009. They consider themselves a company within the skateboarding industry, clothing with roots in a subculture that sets its own rules and follows its own trends.

Theie idea was to create a street fashion brand, a brand that represented street fashion – not streetwear. According to their website, they felt that the purpose contained more than just t-shirts and jeans, a broader selection for men and women. None of what they wanted to achieve was to be found in the distribution network that they related to.

Today WeSC is available in more than 20 countries around the world. WeSC is addressing people with awareness, regardless of race, religion or financial background.

As deep as their philosophy is and the great magnitude of their work, they still are doing the business thing with the clothing line that they run. Here's a look at some of their styles...

0 Bow Wow now with Cash Money??

Bow Wow had already hinted that he had a big surprise for everbody at midnight (Monday morning)...now that the next day is here, people are now discovering that Bow Wow has inked a contract with Lil' Wayne and the Cash Money Millionaires. Nothing has been announced yet, but Bow Wow has proclaimed it on his Twitter page and sources from BallerStatus.com had revealed that the deal has been done.

This will be a big boost for Bow Wow's already impressive career. With Cash Money now on his resume, Bow Wow will be catching eyes of fans who probably never respected him. Just because of the fact that he is going to be working with one of the most productive record labels out. I know I'll probably pop a track in of him because you would've never seen a Bow Wow song on any MP3 list that I had.

The terms of the deal were unknown at press time. It's also unknown what the first project Bow Wow will release via the new deal will be. But, it's rumored his next album would be titled The Transition To Shad Moss. In the meantime, Bow Wow said he plans to release a new mixtape titled Green Light with DJ Ill Will to hold over fans, and will be working on a new movie with Ice Cube called "Lottery Ticket" before hopping into the lab to work on his Cash Money Records debut.

All in all, F.A.D.E.D. gives mad shoutouts to Shad Moss and his new family. They both will make each other better.

For new Bow Wow music of the Cash Money Label, stay tuned into F.A.D.E.D. as we update music regularly.

Signed off,

0 Throwbacks of the Week--August.16.2009

Welcome to the 4th installment of our Throwbacks of the Week segment. This is where we reminisce on the old styles, music and other memories from the past. This week we decided to bring to you a video from the dudes of Coolie High, the man who made it known what southern hospitality was,

For the throwback video, we present Luchini off of the Uptown Saturday Night Album from Camp Lo. The younger oldheads will always appreciate this era of music where classics such as this came from. I don't even know if i was born when this came out, but I love the video and the track will always be nice. Even the track at the end of the video is smooth. Enjoy!

The throwback album is one that most people can agree on it being one of the best albums to come out. When Ludacris dropped his 2nd album Back for the First Time, everybody knew he was a rapper that could get the people amped. This album was a vital part in making the Dirty South what it was. Southern Hospitality had to be one of the best songs to ever hit the streets. This is when Luda was getting looks from all around, especially after he released that What's Your Fantasy with Shawna. This will remain a classic.

Baby Boy was one of the best films to be released in the summer of 2001 and that's why it has been selected as the throwback movie of the week. The film which tells the story of a man who needs to grow up, really hit home for guys who live in single parents with their mothers. The acting is exceptional in particular Tyrese who plays Jody. Snoop is also good as Rodney as is Omar Gooding. The best acting job comes from Ving Rhames as Jody's mom's new man and Taraji P. Henson as Jody's girl. This film is highly recommended. The only ones who didn't like it were those who didn't understand the message. Assholes.

If you look at it now, you'd laugh at the days when everybody used to rock the infamous TALL TEES from your local Finish Line or Foot Locker. The tall tees were honestly a major part in the start of black stereotypes because people started to think that we always wore clothes that were too big for us...I mean, sagging was already bad enough. And you couldn't take that red ass sticker that said 'TALL TEE' on it, or you might as well not have even wore the shirt. But I can honestly say that I never purchased a tall tee in my life, I just stuck to the Hanes packages. People thought I was an outcast for that. It was a little immature if we look at it now, but they were the shirts to have back in the day.

Thanks for tuning in
AND
Til next time,
Stay F.A.D.E.D.
